تدعوا مساحة فن آرت اللوا الفنانيين المصريين والأجانب المقيميين بالقاهرة والجيزة، للتقدم لشغل ستوديو الخلاط وتنفيذ مشروعاتهم الفنية به.
ستوديو الخلاط مكان مجهز لعمل الفنانيين تابع لمساحة آرت اللوا ، يتيح لمجموعة من الفنانين العمل على مشروعاتهم الفنية لفترات تتراوح بين شهر وسنة ، ويتيح لهم التواصل مع أهالى وحرفيين حى أرض اللواء والتفاعل مع البيئة المحيطة.
تعتمد فكرة “الخلاط” الرئيسية على أنه ستوديو مجهز مفتوح غير مقسم لتسهيل التفاعل بين الفنانين المتنوعين وكذلك التواصل من خلال يوم اسبوعى مفتوح للجمهور ستقام فيه عروض فنية متنوعة.
الاستوديو دور أرضى بمساحة ١٠٠ متر وارتفاع ٤.٢٥ متر ، ملحق به مسرح بسيط ، ومساحات للعمل ومزود ببعض الأجهزة والأدوات المساعدة للإنتاج الفنى، وبه خدمات انترنت ودواليب وطاولات ومقاعد للعمل ومرفق به حمام ومطبخ صغير للمشروبات.
سيتاح الخلاط لمجموعة فنانين يتراوح عددهم بين أربعة وستة ، بعضهم بمنح والبعض الآخر بإيجار رمزى ، يتم اختيارهم من خلال هذة الدعوة ومن جميع المجالات ، فنون بصرية وآدائية وصوتية، وسيتم اختيار فنان أو اثنين من حديثى التخرج لتداول الخبرات.
وسيقوم فريق مكون من الفنانين المستفيدين مع عناصر من فريق عمل ” آرت اللوا ” بإدارة المكان وتطويره واختيار الفنانين اللاحقين .
تقبل آرت اللوا استمارات التقديم طوال العام ويتم تقييمها في شهور ابريل واغسطس وديسمبر

- حافظة أعمال بأي من الصيغ التالية: الموقع الإلكتروني للفنان – من ١٠ الى ١٥ صورة (جي بي جي) مع قائمة بالصور – وثيقة (بي دي اف) بحد اقصى ١٥ صفحة- ملفات فيديو او صوت بحد اقصى ١٠ ميجا مرفق بها الأسم والوصف
على الفنان توفير المواد والأدوات المطلوبة للعمل .

artellewa art space invites Egyptian and foreign artists living in Cairo and Giza, to apply for space to work and implement artistic projects at Studio Khalat.
Studio Khalat is a new addition to artellewa art space, which opened in January 2012. It is a space equipped for artists’ work, allowing a group of artists to work on projects for periods ranging between one month and one year. Studio Khalat gives artists the opportunity to communicate with residents and craftsmen of Ard El Lewa, and to interact with the surrounding environment.
The key concept of “Khalat” (Mixer) is that it is an open, undivided studio designed to facilitate interaction between diverse artists. Artists communicate with a public audience through a weekly open studio day. Open studio days, every friday, include a variety of artistic performances.
The 100 square meter studio is located on the ground floor, with ceilings of 4.25 meters. It includes a simple theater, spaces for work, and some devices and utilities for artistic production. The studio is equipped with Internet service, storage cupboards, tables and chairs for work, a bathroom and kitchenette for drinks.
Studio Khalat accommodates between four and six artists at a time, some through grants and others by paying a symbolic rent. Artists working in all mediums (e.g. visual, sound and performance arts) are selected through an open call. Recent graduates looking to gain experience are also encouraged to apply.
Selected artists are asked to commit to working at the studio a minimum of ten hours per week, and to complete the project that they propose in their application.
A team composed of accepted artists and artellewa staff members are responsible for the management and development of Studio Khalat, and the selection of future participating artists.
Applications are accepted throughout the year on a rolling basis.
- A statement of 500-1000 words describing the project to be completed. Please specify your preferred dates of work and a timeline for completion of the project.
- A CV including you name, postal address, and email address.
- A portfolio in any of the following formats: artist website; 10-15 jpeg list with an explanatory list; a PDF document of a maximum of 15 pages; audio or video files up to 10MB with an explanatory list.
Artists provide the materials and tools needed for their work at Studio Khalat.
The first round of artists began using Studio Khalat on 1 January 2013. To be considered for the to join the studio, please send in a completed application.
