Last performance of Elgarida Elhaya

The last in a series of four performances, the grand finale of Elgarida Elhaya discussed themes of religious sectarianism, stereotyping, and gender roles.

في إطار تفاعل مساحة فن آرت اللوا مع البيئة المحيطة في منطقة أرض اللواء يستضيف ستوديو الخلاط حفل موسيقى الهيب هوب والراب الشعبي، جدير بالذكر أن موسيقى الراب الشعبي من أكثر الأنواع الموسيقية إنتشارا بين شباب المناطق الشعبية وفي أوساط الشباب عموما حيث يعد الأكثر إنتشارا من حيث الاستماع أو الأداء، وفي هذا الحفل تشارك أكثر من مجموعة من شباب أرض اللواء ممن عملوا خلال الفترة السابقة على تطوير أدواتهم ومشروعاتهم بشكل كبير حيث يعتزمون افتتاح أول ستوديو صوت في منطقة أرض اللواء لمواصلة وتطوير أعمالهم من خلاله وتتنوع أعمالهم الفنية بين الهيب هوب والراب التقليدي وبين ما يسمى بموسيقى الراب الشعبي

artellewa art space is continuing to interact and co-operate with its surrounding environment of Ard ellewa and it's going to host hip hop (Sha'abi rap) party in studio Khalat, Sha'abi rap is one of the most popular music genres nowadays specially among youth and even children of poor neighborhoods. In this party many groups of youth are going to participate as they've worked hard to develop their capabilities and projects. They are willing to launch their sound recording studio soon which is going to be the first of its kind in Ard ellewa hoping to produce better music here in Ard ellewa using tools good enough but sure not the best, there works vary between traditional rap and hip hop, the new genre called sha'abi rap.

الجريدة الحية

المشروع عبارة عن سلسلة من العروض الأدائية كل أسبوعين، وهو جريدة تتفاعل مع الأحداث الجارية ووسائل الإعلام بطريقة عفوية و فورية من خلال المسرح و عروض مسرح العرائس، الفكرة مستوحاه من “الجريدة الحية” تلك الفكرة الذي ظهرت بعد الثورة البلشفية، هذا المشروع سيوفر مساحة لمعالجة المحتوى الإعلامي ذو الوتيرة المتسارعة بطريقة إبداعية ذات معنى، سيكون التركيز بشكل خاص على الشئون النسائية والحقوق المدنية، هذه العملية ستتضمن تعاون وثيق مع جماعات ناشطة و مؤسسات منخرطة اجتماعيا، وذلك لمد جسر عبر الفجوة بين الفن والأحداث

“The Living Newspaper” is a collaborative theatre project directed by Nini Ayach, and performed at artellewa’s Studio Khalat.

The project consists of a series of bi-weekly performances, a “journal,” that will respond to current events and the media in a spontaneous and immediate way through theater and puppetry performances.   Inspired by the “living newspaper” form created after the Bolshevik revolution, this project will provide a space to interpret the fast-paced media in creative and meaningful way. A special focus will be on feminist issues and civil rights.  The process will involve close collaboration with activist groups and socially engaged organizations, to bridge the gap between art and action.
