Last performance of Elgarida Elhaya

The last in a series of four performances, the grand finale of Elgarida Elhaya discussed themes of religious sectarianism, stereotyping, and gender roles.

في إطار تفاعل مساحة فن آرت اللوا مع البيئة المحيطة في منطقة أرض اللواء يستضيف ستوديو الخلاط حفل موسيقى الهيب هوب والراب الشعبي، جدير بالذكر أن موسيقى الراب الشعبي من أكثر الأنواع الموسيقية إنتشارا بين شباب المناطق الشعبية وفي أوساط الشباب عموما حيث يعد الأكثر إنتشارا من حيث الاستماع أو الأداء، وفي هذا الحفل تشارك أكثر من مجموعة من شباب أرض اللواء ممن عملوا خلال الفترة السابقة على تطوير أدواتهم ومشروعاتهم بشكل كبير حيث يعتزمون افتتاح أول ستوديو صوت في منطقة أرض اللواء لمواصلة وتطوير أعمالهم من خلاله وتتنوع أعمالهم الفنية بين الهيب هوب والراب التقليدي وبين ما يسمى بموسيقى الراب الشعبي

artellewa art space is continuing to interact and co-operate with its surrounding environment of Ard ellewa and it's going to host hip hop (Sha'abi rap) party in studio Khalat, Sha'abi rap is one of the most popular music genres nowadays specially among youth and even children of poor neighborhoods. In this party many groups of youth are going to participate as they've worked hard to develop their capabilities and projects. They are willing to launch their sound recording studio soon which is going to be the first of its kind in Ard ellewa hoping to produce better music here in Ard ellewa using tools good enough but sure not the best, there works vary between traditional rap and hip hop, the new genre called sha'abi rap.

الجريدة الحية

المشروع عبارة عن سلسلة من العروض الأدائية كل أسبوعين، وهو جريدة تتفاعل مع الأحداث الجارية ووسائل الإعلام بطريقة عفوية و فورية من خلال المسرح و عروض مسرح العرائس، الفكرة مستوحاه من “الجريدة الحية” تلك الفكرة الذي ظهرت بعد الثورة البلشفية، هذا المشروع سيوفر مساحة لمعالجة المحتوى الإعلامي ذو الوتيرة المتسارعة بطريقة إبداعية ذات معنى، سيكون التركيز بشكل خاص على الشئون النسائية والحقوق المدنية، هذه العملية ستتضمن تعاون وثيق مع جماعات ناشطة و مؤسسات منخرطة اجتماعيا، وذلك لمد جسر عبر الفجوة بين الفن والأحداث

“The Living Newspaper” is a collaborative theatre project directed by Nini Ayach, and performed at artellewa’s Studio Khalat.

The project consists of a series of bi-weekly performances, a “journal,” that will respond to current events and the media in a spontaneous and immediate way through theater and puppetry performances.   Inspired by the “living newspaper” form created after the Bolshevik revolution, this project will provide a space to interpret the fast-paced media in creative and meaningful way. A special focus will be on feminist issues and civil rights.  The process will involve close collaboration with activist groups and socially engaged organizations, to bridge the gap between art and action.

مشروع المريخ يؤمن بأن كل إنسان له الحق فى ان يمارس حريته وكل إنسان يستحق أن يحترم ويحب. ويحاول نشر هذه الفكرة من خلال الميكرفون المفتوح في جميع أنحاء مصر، للتعبير عن النفس والتواصل مع الآخرين 

مشروع المريخ هدفه خلق حلقة وصل بيننا من خلال المساحة الحرة اللي بتظهر طباعنا الانسانية الواحدة. من خلال التعبير عن النفس بكل حرية وبدون أي قيود، المساحات الحرة تمدنا كبشر بقدرة اكبر على التواصل والتسامح وتساعد على خلق مجتمع مبني علي التسامح والحب.

مشروع المريخ هو مشروع بيعمل ميكروفون مفتوح ف مصر
يعني إيه ميكروفون مفتوح؟ إيه و ليه و فين و مين؟ ميكروفون مفتوح هو مساحة للناس 
تعبر عن نفسها بالطريقة اللي هي عايزاها و شايفاها شبههم
بكامل الحرية 
كل واحد له ٥ دقايق يعبر عن نفسة بأي شكل و طريقة ف جو من الإحترام و التقدير و الحب 
تقام فاعليات الميكروفون المفتوح في أماكن كثيرة في القاهرة و المحافظات 
"الحرية لكل الناس 
اللي جوا مصر و برا مصر و اللي علي الكوكب و اللي علي المريخ
و اللي علي كل الكواكب" 

Mashrou3 Al Mareekh believes that everyone deserves a chance to experience freedom, respect and love. They attempt to do this by creating open mic sessions across the country and BEYOND. 
Aiming to Empower and connect humans through self-expression. 
They started back in 2009. They have had over 80 pen mics. In 6 different Governorates and 2 countries.. They have allowed over 3000 people to express themselves freely. 
They try to tickle people in hopes of inspiring them to create within their own communities = 
creating different versions of cultural activity = 
allowing for culture outlines to redefined itself through individuals=
breaking those pre-defined social boundaries.

What is an open mic? it's an event where there's a space for you to express whatever you've got in whichever way you choose

You get 5 minutes to so say/do anything you want

Safarni at Studio Khalat

Last saturday, the Safarni workshop led children from ardellewa on an imaginary trip to Holland inside Studio Khalat!

Twice a month, Safarni workshops take children on an imaginary journey to a new country, where they are introduced to the local language, food, games, dances and songs. They have the opportunity to meet people from this country, and interact with them through playing, dancing, and sharing. These journeys open new doors in the children’s minds and encourage respect for all human beings and cultures.

Raphaelle Ayach is a French/American documentary filmmaker. After studying Film Directing in Paris and working in production in Spain, she currently lives and works in Cairo, Egypt (though often finds herself in Latin America for documentary related projects). Raphaelle is inspired by social issues and quirky cultural phenomenons, as well as beauty and awkwardness in everyday life, around the world. She also facilitates courses and dialogue sessions, and is videographer for organizations and cultural events.

وسيكون لدى الأطفال الفرصة ليقابلوا أشخاص جدد من هذه البلد والتفاعل معهم عبر اللعب والرقص والمشاركة
وتفتح هذه الرحلات أبواباً جديدة في عقول الأطفال وتشجعهم على أحترام جميع البشر

رافايل عياش هي مخرجة أفلام تسجيلية فرنسية/أمريكية. تعيش وتعمل حاليا في القاهرة (مع انها تجد نفسها أحيانا كثيرة في أمريكا اللاتينية لمشاريع متعلقة بأفلام تسجيلية) بعد دراسة الإخراج في باريس والعمل في الإنتاج في أسبانيا. المواضيع الإجتماعية والظواهر الثقافية الغريبة تلهم رافايل وهي تقوم بتسهيل كورسات وجلسات حوار وتعمل كمصورة فيديو ومنظمة أحداث ثقافية
